Wes Linsley

COACH

I’m Wes Linsley, owner and head coach of Alpha Family Fitness and Wylie Boxing Club, with over 20 years of experience in professional boxing and strength coaching. I’ve built our boxing and strength programs using proven methods designed to develop strength, speed, durability, and competitive performance.

My coaching style is direct, intentional, and performance-driven. We train hard, respect our time in the gym, and focus on doing the work that actually moves the needle. Whether you’re in our boxing or strength program, the standard is the same—show up prepared, train with purpose, and improve every session.

I provide personal training for competitive boxers and established athletes, helping them stay strong, fast, and resilient through both in-season and off-season training. Over my career, I’ve trained 20+ Golden Gloves Champions, two World Champions, and numerous tournament champions in the amateur circuit.

Serving Wylie and the surrounding areas since 2007, Alpha Family Fitness and Wylie Boxing Club is built on consistency, results, and leadership. We don’t follow trends—we set the standard.

Dale Jensen

COACH

I was born in Toowoomba, Australia, where I spent most of my childhood playing baseball. At the age of 18 I moved to Denver, Colorado to play summer baseball after which I moved on to play Junior College baseball for Waldorf College in Iowa. I finished up my college education and baseball career at Division II School Southern Arkansas University, leading the team in hitting at 435 and as the scholar athlete of the year. As I’ve progressed in my professional career as a CPA, fitness and health has always been a central focus and belief of mine as one of the most important aspects for overall wellness and mental strength in life, which I have found as one of the primary drivers for my success as a partner at Weaver. I have been part of the Wes Linsley gym family since August 2009. Over such time I have had the opportunity to find a community of friendship that looks to support each other. I obtained my CrossFit Level One certificate and look to use this knowledge and the leadership knowledge I’ve obtained in my professional career to provide a positive influence on the lives of those I work, train and interact with.

BRIAN BARNHOUSE

COACH

I’m Brian Barnhouse, an assistant boxing coach at Wylie Boxing Club within Alpha Family Fitness. I’ve trained under Coach Wes since 2017 and bring both hands-on coaching experience and competitive boxing background into every session.

My focus is on teaching strong fundamentals, proper technique, and work ethic, whether an athlete is stepping into the gym for a solid workout or preparing to compete. I take pride in helping boxers build confidence, discipline, and skill through consistent, intentional training.

One of the most rewarding parts of coaching for me is working with youth athletes, helping them learn the sport, develop fundamentals, and grow through the process. Outside of boxing, I stay active playing football and continuing to challenge myself athletically.
