WHAT IS COLD COMPRESSION THERAPY WITH POWERPLAY?

Powerplay uses advanced technology that delivers cold intermittent compression to any joints in the body that may be achy and/or have swelling due to being overworked during training periods.

WHY IS POWERPLAY BENEFICIAL?

The combination of cold temperature and intermittent compression promotes healing and muscle recovery. The cold temperature helps to reduce and/or prevent any inflammation. The intermittent compression assists with mobilizing any edema out of the joints by increasing blood flow. This combination optimizes recovery by increasing oxygen delivery and healing of surrounding tissue and reducing side effects like aches and pains.

WHO CAN USE POWERPLAY?

You do not have to be an athlete to use Powerplay. It can be used to relieve everyday aches and pains or it can be used as part of an athlete’s recovery regimen during training. There are no age limits, but the individual must fit properly in the sleeves for safety purposes.

There are a few contraindications of using Powerplay. These include a history of blood clots, open wounds in any area that Powerplay will be used, circulatory issues that affect sensation, or any current injuries that are being treated by a medical physician without a notice of release.

WHEN SHOULD POWERPLAY BE USED?

You can use Powerplay at anytime during our hours of operation to take advantage of its advanced technology in relieving your everyday aches and pains, or as a recovery regimen to your training routine.

If you are an athlete wanting to add Powerplay to your training regimen to nurture those overworked joints, Powerplay is beneficial to be used before and/or after exercise to establish the best recovery plan.

We recommend that Powerplay be used 30 minutes before and after working out for mild achy joints, or at least taking advantage of a session immediately after a training session to prevent the aches and pains and assist in alleviating any swelling. These sessions are generally 20 minutes, but may be as long as 30 minutes, depending on the individual and recovery needs.
